On June 4, 2025, the Building Mental Health Capacity at Higher Education Institutes in Southeast Asia project, also known as MENTALHIGH, proudly organized a Mental Health Workshop on “Resilient Teacher: Cultivating Emotional Balance and Personal Development” for the second cohort of graduate students in professional education training (Bachelor +2) Under representative of NIE Management, Mrs. Bun Sophany, Deputy Director of National Institute of Education. During the workshop, speakers shared key insights on mental resilience, the social influences on well-being, the nature of emotions and self-efficacy, the mental health in education, work-life balance, and self-care strategies. The event also included discussions on psychological assessment, coping strategies, and case studies. The students actively engaged in the session, exchanging experiences and deepening their understanding of mental resilience as an educator in particular and self-care. Many expressed gratitude for the valuable and meaningful knowledge shared and strong support for mental health initiatives for educators and students alike.
This workshop stands as a testament to the ongoing commitment to fostering mental well-being within the education sector!
